Raft Guide Training in Scotland has developed over the years and is now recognised worldwide as being at the forefront of Guide Training schemes. Steve Thomas, owner and founder of Freespirits has been actively and heavily involved in devising and amending that scheme, bringing it to the standard it is at today.
The Scottish Rafting Association is the governing body for rafting and all Freespirits courses are SRA recognised. Coupled with that, the SRA is a member of the International Rafting Federation, making the qualification internationally recognised.
The course is a six day programme, run from our centre at Grandtully, the home of Scottish White Water Rafting. It is fully residential, with all meals, bedding, linen, course instruction, equipment, in course transport, SRA and IRF membership and certification.
Freespirits run two courses per year, one in spring and one in autumn, please contact us for specific dates.
